One of the fundamental steps to gaining more support for much-needed research and development is to first raise awareness among the general public and potential investors. One of the most effective means of rallying support is to publish inspiring stories about people living with a certain disease. The Pulmonary Hypertension Association is doing just that in commemoration of Pulmonary Hypertension Awareness Month, happening this November. Another great thing about this is they are giving everyone a chance to promote a campaign and have their story heard.

First, the PHA would like those interested to plan before submitting a media story pitch. They have listed the basic steps to effectively raising awareness through media, and it’s recommended that planning take place at least 8 weeks in advance.

Second, the association provides templates for press pitches for reference. By using a recommended format, there is assurance that a pitch will not lack any information and is easy to understand. Sending the pitch in will also be easier.

For any questions and clarifications, you may contact the association’s staff through [email protected] or 301-565-3004 x753.

In other pulmonary hypertension news, a new study suggests administering molecular Hydrogen, a selective antioxidant, orally via Hydrogen water may help reduce damage to lung tissue in PH cases.
