Do you find medical abbreviations confusing?
There is a lot to learn when diagnosed with pulmonary hypertension (PH), and medical abbreviations don’t make it any easier. Long-term patients might forget how confusing abbreviations such as 6MW, PFT, RHC, or, on a funny note, SOB, can be.
A newly diagnosed forum member brought this to my attention and inspired this topic for conversation and future reference.
To start us off, there is a “Pulmonary Hypertension Related Abbreviations” list that I found online.
What abbreviations do you think should be added? Whenever you hear or see an abbreviation that you didn’t know and had to look up, please share it or ask about it here, so that others can refer to it later.
