  • What Songs Would You Put on Your Playlist?

A surgery that I was supposed to have beginning of August ended up getting pushed up until middle of September due to difficulties finding an anesthesiologist who was comfortable with my numerous health conditions. Now that we have found one, the surgery is thankfully a go! Something that I was creating before the supposed surgery that was planned was a recovery playlist and a pre surgery playlist. These would be songs that would motivate me before surgery and keep me in a positive state of mind. On the recovery playlist would be songs that would be relaxing and uplifting to keep my mind calm and spirits high.

Listening to music really has helped me as I’m driving to appointments. It offers a good distraction on difficult days, and it has the power to take my mind to a much better place of calmness.

Some of my favorite songs to listen to are country songs and anything by Carrie Underwood. On my playlist are songs by Carrie called Cry Pretty, So Small, Champion, and Jesus Take the Wheel. I also like the songs “Live Like You Were Dying” , Katy Perry “Rise” .

What songs would you have on your playlist? Do you most enjoy songs that are calming, ones that pump you up, or a combination of both? I usually try to have a good mix of pump up and relaxing/motivational songs. What are some suggestions of songs I can add to my list?

I love music . All music , and this is a great topic .
I like songs that make me laugh or inspire me to fight harder so I can maybe be the person I think I was born to be . Which brings me to my anthem and a song I want played at my funeral .
The Weekend “Or Nah” … lmao ya If I could sum myself up with one song it’s always that one . Lololool it’s the Cialis I think .

      Hey Amy!
Thank you for the response. My life anthem would probably be Lessons Learned by Carrie Underwood. I’m a fan of country music, but I also LOVE The Weekend. His voice is so good and unique !
