It’s crazy to look at Brittany and not honestly believe she is not unique and here for a reason. Look at the inspiration she has brought to numerous people that have ph on this site. I wish all you NON-COMMENTATORS would join us and just say something about our PH or Illness or even the sports you enjoy. It would be so great to hear from you. This…[Read more]

I am just generally pissed off when a caregiver that comes in from Medicare and says “YOU DON’T LOOK SO BAD” another one is ” you should not sit in that chair, get up and move around you will feel better”. I told the lady the other day to GO HOME AND READ UP ON PULMONARY HYPERTENSION, AND DO NOT COME BACK UNTIL YOU UNDERSTAND THE DAMN DISEASE AND…[Read more]

Dear Brittney, I just had and Idea, when I was in the hospital for 46 straight days alone with only Marines visiting me from Camp Pendleton, California, I had a pleasant surprise. I had a little Shih Tzu named Oreo, black and white. I asked a neighbor lady to watch over Oreo when I was gone. This was remarkable, one evening when it was late, the…[Read more]

My Dear Friend Brittany, I knew you were in the hospital again and had been feeling very bad, ongoing about you. I saw that so many people were writing. I would wait. Of course, we have never met. I wish I could visit and bring you a beautiful bouquet of your favorite flowers for your bedside. When I am down and hurting, you’re my inspiration, and…[Read more]

Hello Everyone,
I have not been on lately, I feel my PH is worsening. I am weaker, so much more tired. I was given a gift by the STATE OF TEXAS. I have a wonderful woman coming in 3 days a week for 5 hours each day, cleaning, changing the bed, laundry, and some cooking which for me is a Godsend.I have developed little tricks with Hand sanitizer,…[Read more]

The people that love you will carry the load until your stronger

My Dear Friend Brittany,
You were right there when I first discovered I had PH. I came home from my Initial meeting with the Doctors scared, and wondering just what was happening to me. I was told to sign up for this site to stay on top of this disease and share it with others. The Minute I was online, I met Brittany as I wrote a short note to get…[Read more] -

I hope this is related. I am 78 yrs old and on the outside I look passable but when these Medicare, and recently Medicaid people come in to see or evaluate me they say ” you look good, we might be able to get you some modest assistance, (because I live alone with no family in a strange area, I lost my home and possessions in hurricane Irma”.) They…[Read more]

Dear Brittney,
They just came out with a PORTABLE Oxgeonater that you can buy, and I think for you possible you could get insurance to pay if you work with the company and your doctor. There are three types, all with levels up to 4 forms 1-4. It is a shoulder unit, about 3 lbs, and as you know it makes oxygen out of the air. It comes in a…[Read more] -

It was a very long, life-threatening surgery. I was in the hospital the second time for 40 days and then had to return a weak later for 7 days. They could not get the heart…[Read more]

I certainly understand the good PH day and the other days ( bad) Ph day. We all plow through all days, but it feels so go on good days to be able to think straight and get some things done. I think, for me, a good ph day is after I have gone into rem sleep, and had a great previous night. When I have tried the PH, along with sleep deprivation,…[Read more]

Thank you so much for the words of encouragement, Ron! I know what you mean by the recovery being really hard at the beginning. I recently have had my share of some setbacks but it looks like I will be followed closely by a good team that is all part of one of my surgeon’s group of doctors. It is great when they are all able to coordinate. I have…
