I asked this question to our PH members, “Has PH made you better at your job?”. Now I’m asking our caregivers the same question. If you are caring for a PH loved one and working, how has the one effected the other in a rewarding way? As caregiver to my son and having worked when he had PH, I know that it had an effect on my job. There where a lot of challenges but looking back, I can see how being a caretaker also influenced my work in a positive way. I was definitely more patient, compassionate, and for the most part, I didn’t sweat the small stuff. My listening skills where enhanced as well as my instincts of when I should speak and when I should act. What skills have you personally developed from caring for someone with a rare disease?
