A study suggests that elderly patients with pulmonary hypertension have a poorer prognosis due to delayed diagnosis and higher incidence of comorbidities. Read more about this study here.
How do you think the timing of your diagnosis with PH has or will impact your long-term prognosis?
As an elderly patient who has experienced the delays and other points mentioned, I found the article interesting but preferred by far reading the primary source article in the European Respiratory Society (ERS) journal, https://openres.ersjournals.com/content/4/4/00100-2018.
Thank you for the link to the article. I love reading your links that you send. I also experienced a delay in diagnosis because of a focus on other co existing conditions I have. There needs to be more of a push for people to know about this condition and spread more awareness so the delay doesn’t happen as often to others.
