• How is Pulmonary Hypertension Diagnosed?

Posted by Pulmonary Hypertension News Moderator on October 4, 2018 at 9:09 am

In this video from MD Magazine TV, Dr. Stephen Chang explains how the chronic lung disease, pulmonary hypertension (PH), is diagnosed by describing the diagnostic tests needed and difficulties they pose for patients. Dr. Chang explains that PH is very difficult to diagnose because the symptoms presented are similiar to those of many other types of lung conditions. Patients often have to wait years and may be misdiagnosed several times before they get the correct diagnosis.

What kind of process did your medical team follow when you were diagnosed? Were you diagnosed correctly the first time, or did it take awhile to determine you had PH?
