Are certain medications being monitored more closely by your state regulations?
Sometimes with the start of a new year comes different regulations on medications either because of the state regulations or because of the pharmacy regulations. I have noticed this with my refill of some of my pain medications. My doctor was giving me a larger amount to last me a few months, but with the new regulations it is only allowed a certain amount to be refilled only ONCE a month. This is something that I’m sure is not just effecting me, but other chronic illness and pain patients too.
Do you have certain regulations on medications? Was there a contract that you needed to sign with your doctors in order to even get certain medications for pain? How has the change impacted the care you are receiving?
