  • Does Your Insurance Offer MDLive Appointments as Low as $5?

This is something that I recently found, and I wanted to share with y’all. Cigna offers telehealth visits through MDLive starting at $5. I tried a talk therapist since I had stopped seeing mine months ago.

It worked out well. I was scheduled quickly, and the call was about 45 minutes. It was a $5 copay. They also offer other doctors and specialists. Of course, I would not use them for my PH issues. But if someone has a cold, injury, or needs to talk to a therapist, you can choose to go through them; visits start at $5.

Mine went well, so I have 2 more visits with her scheduled. This is something that some of you may find helpful, especially if you are paying high copays to see some of these non-emergency and non-PH-related issues.

This is the link to the Cigna website. If you are interested, I would suggest you call your insurance to see if they offer this benefit. If so, will you try it? Why or why not?

My pleasure, @colleensteele. I had no clue, a case manager told me. I was complaining about having to pay so much for all of my many doctors. I don’t know how long this has been going. But it may be helpful for some non-urgent needs.

@s-steppins, was that through MDLive? They told me that a regular family doctor was $5, too. But other appointments depend on specialty, etc.

If it is a regular doctor, you can get an appointment within the next 10-20 minutes. That was impressive as far as response time.

    Hi @jenc.
I have Cigna right now as well and I have used the Telemed for a $15 copay.
It is great and was especially helpful during the pandemic when I didn’t want to do sit in a germy waiting room at the urgent care.
