I recently read on the NIH website that continuous flow oxygen concentrators are better for people that need oxygen at night since pulse type are not as effective . What about travel on a plane? Do any of the portables have continuous flow besides Respironics (which is not very light to carry in a backpack). I would appreciate any insight out there. Thanks!

This is interesting, Germaine. The concentrator (not portable) that I have from Apria medical supply is a pulse. But I have one of those Wellue continuous pulse oximeters, and it shows that the pulsed oxygen is keeping my nighttime oxygen levels up above 90%. Do you have the option of trying pulsed and continuous and seeing which one works for you?
