Pulmonary Hypertension Patient Walked 75 Miles
November is Pulmonary Hypertension Awareness Month and just one day before the month began, Diane Ramirez, a Duke patient suffering with PH, together with her medicine team, completed a 75-mile walk to raise awareness and funding for this deadly and – still – misdiagnosed disease.
Diane Ramirez was diagnosed 28 years ago and doctors didn’t see a bright future ahead for her. The now-52 year-old finished a planned 30-day walk, six days ahead of schedule, to bring more awareness to the disease.
