This “loss of connection” does not allow the diaphragm to work at its maximum efficiency and our breathing becomes more labored. Because of that, as the years go by, we become weaker and our lung capacity also becomes weaker. This is especially worrying for pulmonary hypertension patients.

One of the most concerning symptoms of pulmonary hypertension is shortness of breath. Patients who suffer from PH have a very difficult time breathing.
