Evan Gayken is a 2-year old toddler who suffers from a life-threatning disease; he has been diagnosed with Pedriatic Pulmonary Hypertension – a lung and heart disease that makes his blood vessels in his lungs constrict. Because of this, his heart has to work extra hard.
He is on an aggressive treatment plan that hopefully can buy him enough time for better medication.

Evan wears a backpack that holds a small pump, which delivers a continuous stream of medication. His mom, Mandy, stays home with him in at their house in Meadowlands, to be with him and take care of the little boy while he receives his treatment.
