Last week’s hot topic on pulmonary hypertension was Proposed PAH Drug Delivery System Allows for Controlled Release of Medicine written by Margarida Azevedo.

This article is about the researchers at the National University of Singapore (NUS) and the Agency for Science, Technology and Research (A*STAR), who have developed an alternative treatment system for patients with pulmonary arterial hypertension (PAH), consisting of a controlled-release micro-particle formulation that’s delivered through inhalation.

If further tests provide positive results and the formulation is approved, this pharmaceutical product would be the first commercially available controlled-release inhalation product.
