Austin is becoming a household name in Alabama after meeting his hero Carolina Panthers quarterback Cam Newton last month. Austin’s teacher, Courtney Cooper, had put a video of him in the hospital on her social media accounts, explaining that he was due to have surgery in a few days and that doctors didn’t know if he would survive the procedure. She went on to say that the boy would really like to meet Cam Newton. Cooper’s post went viral and within hours Newton’s phone was ringing with people asking if he would grant the boy’s wish and he was happy to oblige.
