Lana Melendres-Groves, MD
Lana Melendres-Groves is a professor of medicine and senior vice chair for faculty development and ambulatory clinical services in the Department of Internal Medicine at the University of New Mexico (UNM), where she also serves as medical director of the Pulmonary Hypertension Program and Medical Director of the Department of Medicine Clinical Trial Unit. Dr. Melendres-Groves completed her internal medicine residency and pulmonary and critical care medicine fellowship at UNM, and subsequently pursued advanced fellowship training in pulmonary vascular disease at Stanford University. A nationally recognized expert in pulmonary arterial hypertension (PAH), she founded the UNM Pulmonary Hypertension Comprehensive Care Center and has led its Pulmonary Hypertension Association–accredited program since 2011.
