A family member of mine has been suffering from pulmonary hypertension for quite some time. As many of you know, it’s a tough road – energy levels fluctuate and it’s not easy to find activities that are both safe and enjoyable.

Recently, after discussions with their doctor, we gently introduced a small change: short, easy tricycle(A tricycle would be more stable )rides around our neighborhood. We chose a comfortable upright bike and stuck to flat, quiet trails. No pressure, no goals, just slow and steady progress.

Surprisingly, it made a big difference. The rides are short, only 10-15 minutes at a time, but they are endless fun. My family looks forward to the rides and I can see a real lift in their mood. They tell me they feel “like myself again.”

Of course, we are careful. We watch for signs of fatigue, take breaks, and never push ourselves. But now, it feels a little easier. Lately, their overall state has been pretty stable, and even small outings like this one seem to bring about big mood changes.

I wanted to share this with you in case others are looking for gentle ways to stay active or improve their mental health. As always, everyone is different and medical advice comes first, but sometimes even small steps can make a meaningful difference.

Wishing you and your loved ones strength and peace
