Recently, I participated in a research study for pulmonary hypertension. The study looked at how hormones throughout a woman’s cycle can impact lung function and pressures in the heart. Although I do not know the results of this study yet, there was some decline in my pulmonary function test, 6 minute walk test results, and oxygenation during different times of my cycle. Having my period effected me. Even this week, I feel the impact of my menstrual cycle. I am trying to workout and feel more short of breath.

I am curious (mostly this is for the women of the group), have you noticed changes in your shortness of breath, respiration, heart rate, overall fatigue, etc with changes in your hormones during your cycle? I would love to hear if you have noticed this. Have you noticed differences throughout the month? What weeks does it feel better/worse?
