Do You Feel Guilt When Thinking About Your Donor?
Last week my son celebrated 6 years post- heart and double lung transplant. Every year I use his anniversary as an opportunity to advocate for organ donation. This year I did so by sharing the other side of transplant – the donor family perspective.
If you are a transplant recipient, have you ever felt survivors guilt? If on the waiting list, do you feel guilt about waiting for a second chance at life gifted by someone who died? Share your feelings with us.
Let me know if this week’s column helped change your feelings towards the other side of organ donation.
