Yesterday for “30 Days of PH” we read Michelle Ogawa’s story. She is a pediatric PH nurse and adored by her patients and their families. I know this, because mine was one of them. Michelle took excellent care of Cullen f0r almost 6 years, up until he had his transplant.

What makes Michelle a good nurse is not only her compassionate nature toward the children, but also the parents/caregivers. She answers questions clearly and is very patient about repeating them when asked. She takes care of the whole person by acknowledging how a patient feels physically and emotionally.

In your experience, what makes a good nurse. What type of medical professional do you trust with your child the most?

Adult patients, please add your perspective too.
