Armstrong, who is also a nurse consultant, shares that he’s been working in the pulmonary hypertension field for more than 20 years. When he first started out, there were no treatments available for patients living with the disease and the only option was to have a lung transplant (which was only available to a lucky few). Thanks to medical advancements, there are now different treatment options available.

He also discusses the financial hardship that having pulmonary hypertension can bring, particularly if another member of the family has to stop working to become a full-time carer.
