Should You Get Tested for Pulmonary Hypertension?
In this video from OSU Wexner Medical Center, Dr. Rajive Tandon talks about some of the reasons why people should be screened for pulmonary hypertension (PH).
Dr. Tandon explains that if you already have a chronic lung disease such as COPD or pulmonary fibrosis and your oxygen levels are still dropping despite being treated for the condition, or you are experiencing a worsening in breathlessness then you should have your pulmonologist screen you for pulmonary hypertension.
Other symptoms you need to bring to the attention of your medical team include leg swelling, abdominal swelling, and excess fluid retention.
