Pediatric Pulmonary Hypertension: Eliana’s Story
This video from Bennie Harris shared in July 2014, is all about Eliana and her family. During a routine ultrasound scan, Eliana’s parents were told that something was wrong with their unborn baby’s heart.
As soon as Eliana was born, she was placed in the natal ICU for two weeks for monitoring. She was sent home when they couldn’t come up with a definitive answer for her health problems. As a family, they saw a number of medical professionals before they were given a pediatric pulmonary hypertension diagnosis at six months old. Eliana is now 11 years old and her parents explain what her life is like.
