Jessica Cullum tells the story of her daughter Brinley, who has severe pulmonary arterial hypertension. Right after diagnosis, her husband Wes, Brinley, and Jessica sat in her hospital room. They all vowed to find “wins” throughout the day, and then each night before bed, they would talk about them.

A win could be as simple as getting two household tasks done. Or, Brinley could walk up the stairs without getting short of breath.

Brinley has thrived throughout the past three years of her journey, and as a family, their mental health has remained strong since they have been so conscientious about finding the positives in their day.

“We appreciate the simple things in life that normally would be taken for granted.”

Thank you, Jessica, for sharing your lovely family with us!

Jessica’s story makes me think of the glass half empty or half full way of thinking.

When you are living with PH you can either have a swear jar or a win jar! Which would you prefer to have and add to daily?
