You are probably reading the title and thinking “huh?”. My doctor says that my PH isn’t throughout my entire lungs, that it’s sort of popcorned throughout on spots that are very narrow and parts that are pretty normal. He showed me on an xray and it appears true. Anyone heard of this or have same thing? I know it’s still scary nonetheless due to clot risk and your heart working hard but apparently it makes my case slightly less bad?

    Hi Libby,
I have heard of people’s scans showing areas of the lungs that aren’t working and aren’t exchanging gases properly. How did they make this part of the diagnosis for you? Were you given a V/Q study to look for ventilation and perfusion mismatch? This would be something you could suggest to your doctors so you can have a better understanding when it’s shown to you after.
