This study conducted in Turkey was done on 19 children and their parents. The children completed a standardized measure of HRQoL, while their parents underwent standardized assessments of anxiety and depression.

Results showed that children with PH scored significantly lower than their peers for overall HRQoL. It also showed that parents of PH reported substantially more severe scores for anxiety and depression. This is compared to parents with children without PH.

The results concluded that 46% of parents of children with PH had moderate-severe depression symptoms. This means that we need to offer these parents more emotional and mental health resources.

Take a look at this story. What are your thoughts on this study?

Are you a parent of a child with PH? Do you suffer from anxiety and depression? What valuable resources have you found for you and your family?
