  Spam Accounts

  Hi all,

  A number of you received messages from “Monica Peters” today. Thank you for alerting me to suspicious content (I got it too). I’ve deleted the user now.

  We have a fabulous crew behind the scenes working to prevent spam like this: we’ve blacklisted common fake email addresses, and do our best to screen new users. Unfortunately, our methods aren’t perfect. Just as you did today, let me know as soon as possible if you suspect a fake account, and I will take care of it.

  If you’re reading this and you have yet to add a photo or update your profile, please do so as soon as possible. It helps me and other users feel more comfortable talking with you online if you have a profile photo and some relevant information listed.
