I apologize! I was late posting this topic, just like I’m late with Christmas shopping!
My dad has not been doing well, and prayers are appreciated!

Dear @Colleen I just went on the forum and see your message that your dad is not doing well. I am so sorry Colleen. It has to be just a tough time seeing your dad struggle and there is not much that can be done.
This has to be so tough on your mom too who also has not been doing very well.
It’s Christmas time and you wish for a festive time with your family. However, as your parents need more of your time, your energy there isn’t much time nor energy for festive times.
My heart breaks for you Colleen. I want to send my prayers 🙏 positive energy and most of all Loving hugs warm and gentle. I do pray Christmas for you and your family will find special moments full of ❤️ love, joy and fond memories shared.

Colleen, since I have been blessed with a medical appt free month (or does a dental cleaning count?), I want to use my extra time to pray for you, your family, and all our PHriends. Holiday’s aren’t always easy or fun. I hope all are blessed this coming holiday seaso and throughout the New Year!

@Terese Tuohey I needed those prayers! Thank you! My dad went into hospice on Christmas Eve and passed on New Year’s Eve. Somehow, I still managed a Christmas tree and a few gifts for mom. It was difficult, but love and support from family and friends have gotten us through it. How was your Christmas, and how is the new year treating you?

Colleen, My sympathies on the death of your Dad. I know how hard that is. The holidays here in FL were quiet, and Tim and I had a lovely Christmas. New Year’s DAY, we hosted my FL in-laws for chili and salad and football. Again, nothing fancy. Now in Jan, I am anticipating friends who will come and stay with us for their vacation. I get to play tour guide! Again, know that you are loved, my PHriend.

@Terese Tuohey Thank you for your kind condolences! Dad went into hospice on Christmas Eve and passed on New Year’s Eve. It’s never a good time to lose a loved one, but it happening during the holiday season is really rough. However, this has always been Dad’s favorite time of year, and I think that will help me with my grief in the future. In memory of him, I will continue to enjoy Christmas and New Year’s because I know that is what my dad would want.
Your Christmas and New Year sounds lovely! How was the visit with your friends in January? I bet it was a great way to start the year!
