Yes, it’s also our birthday month, @Colleen ! Are you still planning to visit Cullen that weekend?
I have my usual dental, labs, and therapy appointments this month, and I think I might have another echo scheduled. I’ve been trying hard to pace myself with all these appointments, but I may also have appointments for osteoarthritis and osteoporosis. I’m waiting for them to call back with my appointment, and if I haven’t heard back by tomorrow, I’ll check in with them.
Colleen, what appointments do you have for yourself this month?
Who else is celebrating birthdays this month?
We want to know what’s on your calendar and how we can best support you with anything this month.

Hi @Colleen your birthday 🎂 is coming right up! I hope it is going to be a top notch one – you deserve it!
October – well, I had my echo yesterday and that went pretty well no big changes. I have an ultrasound on my liver coming up, demotologist, ENT appointment and Dick has his Queen of Vertigo 2nd and 3rd appointments – she is helping where no else could so we are very encouraged by that.
The last 2 weeks in October we have blocked off for us – no appointments, labs, tests etc!
Wishing you Colleen all warm happy thoughts and of course hugs filled 🤗 with love and appreciation 💖.

Hi @carol-volckmann , it sounds like another busy month for you and dick this October with appointments. Is there a particular reason you blocked off the last two weeks of the month with no appointments for either of you? Or is this your usual?
I’m grateful to hear your echo went well, and there were no changes; that’s a win! Hopefully, the ultrasound of your liver, ENT, and derm appointments will also go well. Dick’s “Queen of Vertigo” appointments sound hopeful, so please keep us posted on all as you tackle this one by one. 🤗
Take care of each other and let us know what you two are lookinbg forward tro the last two weeks of the month. 💜

Hi @jen-cueva you are so kind! We have blocked off 2 weeks to simply take a break from doctor appointments, tests, labs etc. We might take the motorhome on a small trip or just stay here with the weather being so nice.
I won’t forget to give you Dick’s recipe for his chocolate sauce which some times he adds a liquor so only if you are 21 you can have some of that 😉!
Okay, Dick says 1 cup chocolate semi sweet, 1 cup of heavy cream, a dash of vanilla, 1/4 t salt. Heat over low heat stirring constantly until it all comes together ❤️ . Thicker sauce add a few mor chips. If you want to add liquor- one ounce of brandy or rum 😋 .
So glad to hear you too use the term recharge … and you are doing that more knowing that is what your body and mental health needs.
Here comes light, energy, and warm hugs for you and Manny!

@carol-volckmann I’m so happy to hear that you and Dick have blocked of a few “medical appointment free” weeks. No matter what you end up doing I hope it will be relaxing and enjoyable for both of you!
I think I missed a post somewhere. What do you use the chocolate sauce on? Is it like a fondu? You had me at, “Add brandy or rum to it.” 😋🤣

LOL, Carol was talking about starting her regular diet after trying lactose-free for several weeks. Ice cream was her top food choice. That was where that chocolate sauce came in.LOL.

Wow, good for you and Dick, @carol-volckmann ! I’m proud of you both; you know how important self-care is to our health! Of course, Cloud will join in the fun, too. 😃 A short motorhome trip sounds lovely, so I hope that is something you two lovebirds can enjoy!
Oh wow, IDK if I am over 21…yet, but tell Dick, that chocolarte sauce sounds like dessert all alone, I would drink it. 😂
Yes, since KK moved out, I have not been going out as often as I used to, but I have been going out for errands, groceries, etc. I still get dressed daily, even if that means loungewear. 😉
I hope you all have a wonderful weekend. I’m sending back the extra energy, love, and hugs to you both.💜

Happy Birthday, Colleen! And thanks for sending me a reminder to write on this forum, Jen!
I’ve a busy October. Right now,Tim and are in MN. He has a training session for his home AMSOIL business, and we decided to use this as our anniversary (#16!) celebration weekend. We’ll be home next Monday. Then I have a full few days: Covid shot on the 9th, company for tea on the 9th, pick up the new lenses for my glasses, and then prep for another trip with TIm. This time to IL tosee some of his oil clients. When we get back, I have a visit with my CTEPH cardiologist, 6MW, and bloodwork, the prep for a colonoscopy, and early in Nov, I see my Primary and my regular cardiologist. Whew! THEN, we pack up and head for FL for the winter, leaving on the 19th, just after I see my opthamologist. I’m tuckered out just reading all this myself! Yes, I”ll take it easy, and rest. It’s exciting, but it is tiring.
Wishing all of the folks in the forum good health and sunny skies! Hugs to all!

@Terese Tuohey thank you! It’s great to hear from you. You’re calendar is very full my friend but I’m liking that you have nice things/trips planned among the medical agenda. How have you been feeling? Do you have any concerns about upcoming appointments? Praying for good results with all of them!
-
Wow, what a busy schedule you have,@Terese Tuohey ! But it sounds like a beautiful trip away with Tim. Happy 16th anniversary to you two lovebirds!
Geez, you are one busybody, I must say. I became exhausted reading about those trips, packing, and things hehe. But it’s all worth it when we make it fun, especially with our partners. 💜
Thanks for checking in and updating us; I hope you are feeling good. Safe travels for you and Tim. Please come back and keep us posted when you have time. Hehe.
Hugs and love are headed your way if they can catch up with you. 😊

Good morning/afternoon @Colleen You were up late on the forums. You and Jen just keep on going like 2 energized bunnies 🐰.
The chocolate sauce that Dick makes is for ice cream 🍦 😋. The addition of brandy or rum are for adults only!
Since the lactose free diet did not do a thing for my SIBO, I can go back to my Nirmal diet and that means ice cream this weekend 😋 with Dick’s chocolate sauce!
We still don’t know what we will do on the two weeks we blocked off – no doctor appointments, labs, tests etc. Just having 2 weeks to recharge and relax.
I hope you too can set aside time to recharge and relax, you certainly deserve it and need it. Sending you warm hugs 🤗 filled with love ❤️ and appreciation of everything you do for everyone! You are one very special woman! ❤️
