If you’re like me and love wrapping your hands around a warm mug of tea during the colder months, you’re in for a treat—January is National Hot Tea Month! As one of the world’s oldest beverages, it’s time for tea to take center stage.

There’s something magical about the soothing scent of cinnamon or cardamom rising with the steam and how a cup of tea can instantly bring comfort. For me, it’s one of life’s little joys. What about you?

Tea isn’t just delicious—it’s a chance to slow down, connect with others, and even enjoy some health benefits, depending on what you’re sipping. Managing PH, I stick to herbal teas with little to no caffeine, but I know everyone has their favorites.

So, let’s talk tea! What do you love to brew, and how do you enjoy it? Are there any teas you steer clear of, like those with high acidity? Spill the tea (pun intended)—I’d love to hear your favorites!

Where are our tea drinkers? I found this delicious hot cinnamon tea(decaf), which I enjoy daily. It smells like Fall and needs nothing added, not even honey. My daughter, KK, now loves it, too, and we have found a Sunset one with similar profiles.

It’s Harney and Sons, and the one she loves is Hot Cinnamon Sunset tea. I bought them at Target, but they also sell them at the World Market. I’ve found Target is cheaper by $2. One of her new home gifts I bought her was a tea kettle and an adorable hot tea mug set of two with spoons and all. (Marshalls and HomeGoods)

@jen-cueva I’m laughing at the timing of your topic! It’s past midnight here and I was just thinking that after I close out of the forums I will make a cup of peach sleepytime tea. It usually has a calming effect on me and I hope I will fall asleep after a cuppa.

I enjoy tea but I don’t get too fancy with it, just teabags, usually sleepytime or Irish Breakfast. I used to love Stash Peach black tea but I stopped finding that flavor in stores many years ago. I enjoyed it because the peach was suttle and not artifical tasting.

I like this pleasant topic. Thank you!

Hi, @Colleen , I hope you enjoyed your cup of tea before bed. If you like peach and hunger, here’s one that I am out of but love when I have an upset stomach. KK took the rest of mine, she loves it during her cycle. It’s by Bigelow and called, Calm Stomach. If you try it, let me know your thoughts.

I thought many others would enjoy this topic, so grateful it was benefcial for you.

@jen-cueva I will definitely find it and give it a try! We are having a snowstorm so I enjoyed a hot cup of chocolate tonight. Haven’t had one in a long time. It also coated my throat and gave me a break from coughing. The tea worked last night and helped me fall asleep.

Hi, @Colleen , I’m happy to hear that your hot tea the night before last helped you sleep. I haven’t had much hot cocoa, but I had one with KK around the holidays. It’s always such a great sweet treat and also a childhood fave.

Hopefully, my friend, you don’t need to get out in the snowstorm. How does Cullen get around campus when there’s a snowstorm? If you must get out in it, please stay safe and warm! Maybe it will allow some downtime for you and your parents, which I bet all of you could use.

@jen-cueva I was able to stay in during the storm. Most of it is gone now but I guess we are expecting more this weekend. Cullen has been fine. Classes are usually canceled or delayed for bad weather and everything he needs is on campus and of walking distance. I also have his room well stocked with microwavable food and snacks.

Hi @Colleen , hopefully, you can stay in most of the weekend, too with another snowstorm. Do you have any plans for the weekend?

It’s good to hear Cullen is good and they do cancel if the weather is bad. Of course, we all know his loving moma bear always keeps him well stocked. 😍
