The Pulmonary Hypertension News forums are a new feature devoted to empowering patients, caregivers and medical professionals with information and a sense of community.

Register Your Account

On the right side of the PH News Forums page (or bottom, if you’re on a mobile device) you can create a username and password and click register. You will be prompted to enter your name and some details about yourself, including your relationship to the PH community: patient, caregiver, medical professional, and so on. Go ahead and add a profile photo and a short biography about yourself.

Join the Discussion

Next, visit the different forums to introduce yourself to other users and weigh in on topics. Topics range from psychosocial factors affecting patients and caregivers to new developments in PH research, just like the articles published on Pulmonary Hypertension News. Discussion subjects include advice for newly diagnosed patientsawareness and advocacy; diet and nutritionand mental health. After creating a profile, members can propose their own topics in addition to those created by moderators.

Should you have specific questions for another member, visit their profile to access the private messaging feature.

Private and Public Groups

At the moment, one private group exists for pulmonary hypertension patients, with the potential for additional private groups as the user base grows. Groups for teens and young adults with PHPH caregivers, family members and spousesand research and development each have public forums. Please join all groups that are relevant to you and introduce yourself.

Patient Moderation

Our forums are moderated by patient columnist, Kathleen Sheffer, who will be available to answer questions and start new conversations, keeping the forums active.

The forums are non-commercial. The moderator will remove posts offered as advertisements in exchange for personal gain and links to websites that do not relate to the topic and are purely for promotional purposes. Moderation will ensure the discussions remain respectful and relevant.

Give Feedback

Forums are evolving projects hosted by BioNews Services, and the PH News Forums are the third of their kind. Please share your thoughts on the new forums. Let the moderator or other team members know if you have suggestions for improvement.
