Reducing PAH Patient Hospitalizations

In this AJMCtv video from the American Journal of Managed Care, Dr. Charles Burger of the Mayo Clinic, Jacksonville, Florida, focuses on the high prevalence of hospitalizations among pulmonary arterial hypertension patients. He said 57 percent of PAH patients are admitted to the hospital within the first year of diagnosis.

Burger highlights three clinical trials for now approved PAH medications. All three trials proved several important positive results, and all three also resulted in decreased hospitalizations for PAH patients.
