Find out more about the diagnosis process for pulmonary hypertension here.
The Blue Lips Foundation launched less than a year ago in November 2015, after Meredith Wilharber from Iowa was diagnosed with pulmonary arterial hypertension (PAH) – the same disease that her mother passed away from 23 years earlier.
Along with her husband, Randy, the two decided to dedicate themselves to funding research into the early diagnosis of PAH and the screening tools needed. In this short space of time, Blue Lips has raised over $150,000 to dedicate to the development of new diagnostic tools and biomarkers aimed at detecting pulmonary hypertension at earlier stages.
