What are your summer plans?
As we leap into June, what are your summer plans? If you’ve got kids in school, they might be home daily. How do you plan to keep them entertained without burning out?
Do you have a kid with PH? Are there any summer camps in your area you’re excited about?
And what about those warmer days and soaking up the sunshine? Are you skin protection ready with breaks planned to cool off indoors?

Looks like a lot going on here in July. Our granddaughter will be flying in for 3 weeks. Her and my wife are taking an adventure tour to see a WWII bunker in Seward. It’s a 2 mile hike in to a lake, then they paddle a Kayak 5 miles to the Bunker and explore it, then the reverse back. I believe I’ll pass on that trip. The wife is in training for that trip now. Our son will show up after the bunker trip and take our granddaughter up to our remote homestead cabin. It’s a 3 mile hike to the cabin with a serious up hill section that is so steep they have ropes for you to hang on and pull yourself up. I’ll pass on that trip too LOL. It will be good spending time with the family that we rarely see.
I am feeling good and enjoying my dump truck. Hmmmmmmmm do I really want to sell it??? I am looking forward to some motorcycle rides. My neighbor has a bike like mine and we can ride together. The 17 year old neighbor kid who washes and greases my dump truck is going to take riding lessons from ABATE and when he gets his license he can joins us using one of my smaller bikes. Looking forward to some fun rides.

@Roger Bliss this update made me happy to read! I love that both you and your wife have your own special things to look forward to. Have to say, your wife makes me feel lazy and unadventurous! Geez, good for her!

I’ll be spending a lot of time with my husband, Tim and his home Amsoil business. He sells lubricants for just about anything that has a motor. So we go to a lot of car shows together. June, we’ll be at a local show, and later this month, it’ll be Carlisle, PA, for a big GM car show. July, it’s a Camaro show but much closer to home – like 4 miles away! He’s usually the only oil vendor and these shows take up a lot of set-up/tear-down time. I do get to spend overnight in a hotel room if we are out of town.
Me time? I’m going to Cleveland to visit my cousin for a couple of days at the end of July, and in August, I’ll be at the PHA conference in Indy. Whew! I’m just grateful that I have been feeling pretty good, and that when I “run out of teaspoons” Tim understands.
In between, there are the usual Dr. appts. but not the medical marathon I had in April/May. So a full summer ahead, but you don’t have to shovel snow!

Then, you have your appointments in Cleveland and speak at the PH Conference in Indianapolis. I’m so proud of you and know you will do a stellar job! Did you see where I asked you to share what day and time you are speaking?
In your “downtime,” save up any leftover teaspoons if you have any. 🥄Pace yourself and have safe and fun travels at the car shows with your hubby. 🚗

@Terese Tuohey yay, you have a nice full summer planned and it isn’t all medical appointments! It’s awesome that your are going to the PHA conference! Any other forum members planning on attending? It would be nice if you could plan on finding each other while there!
